The wedding licence has emerged revealing that the couple did actually get married on May 19 at Windsor Castle
Piers Morgan has responded to the news that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did indeed get married officially during their televised wedding service, news which claims to contradict the couple’s own version of events.
Markle claimed in her interview with Oprah that her and Harry had in fact got married three days before in a private ceremony in their garden conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
The couple’s representative has said: “The couple exchanged personal vows a few days before their official/legal wedding on May 19.”
Morgan has now used the revelation to take a not-so-subtle dig at the Duchess, simply tweeting in response to the news ‘Do we still have to believe her?’

The feud between Morgan and Markle has been well publicised over recent weeks, with Pier’s behaviour with regards to the former Suits star ultimately costing him his job.
In the space of two days, he made comments on air about Meghan’s claims of mental health struggles that attracted over 57,000 complaints to Ofcom, a record, before then storming off the set of Good Morning Britain the following day as he was challenged about his views by colleague Alex Beresford.
Be in no doubt that Morgan will be using this news as vindication for his views and opinions, which he has stood by ever since making them.
However, Stephen Borton, the former chief clerk at the Faculty Office has suggested that Markle was ‘obviously confused’ and ‘misinformed’ about the significance of the private ceremony.
Borton told the Sun:”The Special Licence I helped draw up enabled them to marry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor and what happened there on 19 May 2018 and was seen by millions around the world was the official wedding as recognised by the Church of England and the law.
“What I suspect they did was exchange some simple vows they had perhaps written themselves, and which is fashionable, and said that in front of the Archbishop — or, and more likely, it was a simple rehearsal.”
More than anything though, this has proven that Piers Morgan has no intention of back down when it comes to anything related to Meghan Markle. If the Duchess of Sussex did ever fall on hard times and need somewhere to stay, it looks like she’ll always a place rent-free in Piers’s head.
