Peters will portray one of the America’s worst murderers in the upcoming series
The actor, best known for his roles in American Horror Story and for playing Quiksilver in the X Men films, will be tasked with taking on the role of Jeffrey Dahmer in the limited series, that is being developed by American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy.
Having played some pretty dark and disturbing characters in the hugely successful anthology series, it is going to be yet another mentally exhausting role for Peters as he plays one of America’s most infamous killers.
Called Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, the series will look at the crimes and victims of the man who became known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, and how he was missed as a suspect by the police on several occasions. According to Deadline, there will be at least 10 examples shown of the authorities coming close to catching Dahmer but ultimately failing.

Dahmer murdered over a dozen boys and young men, between 1978 and his arrest in 1991. He became known for mutilating the bodies of his victims and preserving the body parts, with his murders often involving cannibalism and necrophilia.
At his trial he was diagnosed with a variety of psychological disorders, including borderline personality disorder, but was found to be legally sane and sentenced to life in prison. He died in 1994 after being beaten to death by a fellow inmate.
Other cast members announced for the 10-episode series are Niecy Nash, who will play Glenda Cleveland, Dahmer’s neighbour who first alerted the police about Dahmer’s suspicious behaviour, and Penelope Ann Miller who has been cast as Dahmer’s mother.
There is no news yet on when the series is expected to be released, but for all you serial-killer-content fans out there this looks set to be a must-watch, although probably not an easy one.
