Nearly three years on from it first being announced, the trailer for the new Space Jam is finally here
It’s been a long, loooong time coming, but the trailer for the eagerly anticipated Space Jam 2 has finally been released.
The sequel to the hugely popular 1996 original, which featured Michael Jordan, was announced nearly three years ago, with LeBron James cast – alongside Bugs Bunny, of course – in the lead role.
As revealed by the trailer, the new film – Space Jam: A New Legacy -sees LeBron and his son, played by Cedric Joe, dunked into another dimension in which the NBA star must compete in a basketball match against the film’s villain, played by Don Cheadle, to send them back to the real world.
The problem – just as Jordan found all those years ago – is that he has to call on a selection of Looney Tunes characters as teammates, which complicates matters somewhat.
The trailer can be viewed below and, honestly, if you remember the original, it’s probably not what you would have been expecting at all… Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing.
