Will Smith shared a pic of his post-lockdown bod
Will Smith has been praised online for his candour and openness after posting a shirtless picture of his lockdown body, admitting he’s in ‘the worst shape of his life’.
Let’s be clear, the 52-year-old is clearly still in very good shape in the snap, but given the increased media scrutiny on celebrities for their looks, and overall effects of the pandemic on body image and mental health, it was a brave picture to post.

In the insta post, Smith wrote: “I’m gonna be real wit yall – I’m in the worst shape of my life.”
In a world where most are posting their curated photos online trying to make it seem like the pandemic hasn’t affected them, it’s refreshing to see a candid snap of someone admitting they may not be in their peak physical condition.
Fans of the Men in Black actor were quick to empathise with his situation, admitting they themselves had put on a couple of pounds in the pandemic, while also being quick to point out there’s nothing wrong with changing body shapes as we move through life.
One wrote: “You’re Will Smith! You can be in whatever shape you want.”
“Let me be real with you. You’re 52. You look great,” wrote another.
One commenter even went so far as to say; “This is the most amazing post in the history of social media.”
Personally, if I look even half as in shape as this at the age of 52, I’ll probably be in the best shape of my life.
