A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the Hyde Park attack
The Met Police have released several images of people wanted in connection with a stabbing which took place at Hyde Park in London on Tuesday.
Officers were called to the London park at around 9pm after reports of an assault and several males brandishing machetes.
Footage of the incident which has been shared online shows the victim being chased by the men and slipping on the grass in an attempt to flee the scene. The victim is then kicked, hit with poles and stabbed in the chest.
After arriving at the scene, police found a 17-year-old boy who had been stabbed. He was then taken to a nearby London hospital, where he remains in a stable, non-life-threatening condition.
A 17-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with Tuesday’s incident.
There has been an increased police presence at the park following the attack.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to help them identify males pictured at the scene.
Detective Superintendent Alex Bingley said: “The brazen violence that was witnessed by many people enjoying the sun in Hyde Park was both shocking and unacceptable.
“We urge anyone who knows or can identify the men in these pictures to come forward. No piece of information is too small.
“We appreciate the images and videos that were widely shared following the incident will have caused concern to people in the area and to those who visit the park regularly.
“I want to reassure the public that we are committed to ensuring our parks remain a safe space for everyone to enjoy. We are doing all we can to track down the individuals involved and bring them to justice.
