There’s good news and there’s bad news.
The good news – for Spurs fans at least – is that the Brazilian media claim talks will commence this week to negotiate Alexandre Pato’s transfer from Corinthians to the North London club.
The bad news is that talks are being led by Pato’s representative – the one and only Kia Joorabchian.
Yahoo Brazil report that the agent has travelled to London to hash out a deal with Tottenham’s head honcho Daniel Levy.
Pato is currently on loan at Sao Paulo and has dazzled with the kind of skill and unerring finishing that made him one of the world’s most coveted players back in the late noughties.
Still only 26, the Brazilian has also been linked with Liverpool and Man United, but it looks like Spurs are wasting no time in securing his services.
