“You have the freedom to be a schmuck”: Schwarzenegger calls out people for not following Covid rules

“Hasta La Vista” anti-maskers, says Schwarzenegger

The Terminator himself has slammed those not following Covid guidelines, branding them as schmuck’s on his Instagram. With twenty-two million followers, the former California governor did not mince his words about those who choose to ignore guidelines.

“There is a virus here. It kills people. And the only way we prevent it is to get vaccinated, to wear masks, to do social distancing, washing your hands all the time, and not just to think about, ‘Well, my freedom is being disturbed here,'” he said.

“No. Screw your freedom. With freedom comes obligations and responsibilities. … When you infect other people, that is when it gets serious. It’s no different than a traffic light. We put the traffic light in the intersection so that someone doesn’t kill someone else.”

He continued to say that many people are still living in denial, despite the pandemic ravaging the world for over a year.

“I’m an expert on how to build a bicep… there’s no one that knows more about a bicep than I do because I studied this issue for 50 years,” he said. “And the same is also with the virus. The people out there, they’re the experts that studied this year after year after year.”

The bodybuilding legend’s video has been watched 1.2m times, and currently has over 1m likes. However, not everyone was happy about his public service announcement.

One common theme seems to be the accusation that Schwarzenegger is actually working for the government, which in all honesty is a constant among the tinfoil hat-wearing lunatics. “Is there an endorsement you’re not willing to take money to make?” asks one user.

“Shame on you Arny. No masks. No mandatory vaccines. We Americans have the right to choose what we want to do with our lives,” writes another.
