Hey all you cool cats and kittens: it’s back.
Netflix have confirmed that the 2020 sensation, Tiger King, will be returning for a second series before the end of this year.
In a tweet from Netflix’s official page, the streaming service said: “Tiger King is coming back this year — and Season 2 promises just as much mayhem and madness as Season 1!”
Producers Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin are returning for the second season but as of yet there is no confirmation of which colourful characters from the first season will be returning.

Of course, the first series finished with the Tiger King himself, Joe Exotic, locked up in prison serving a 22-year sentence for hiring a hitman to kill his arch-rival, Carole Baskin.
Whilst Exotic will surely be the focus of the show once again, there are greater questions over whether Baskin will be involved.
Since the first series aired in 2020, Baskin has criticised the show, claiming that she was betrayed by the producers.
She told the Radio Times in February that she thought the show as going to be the “Blakfish for big cats” but that it turned out to be “the freak show that they [Goode and Chaiklin]”. She added that when Chaiklin rang her to clear the air after the series was aired, she told her to “lose my number.”
Meanwhile, Joe has spent his time in prison trying to secure an early release. In July, a judge affirmed Exotic’s sentence, although did order that he be resentenced.
But Goode and Chaiklin have previously said that they had a lot of leftover footage from what didn’t make the first series due to the time constraints they had to adhere to.
We’ll have to wait and see whether we get more answers in the second series, because there are a lot of questions that still need answering…
