Freddie Flintoff wants Jeff Bezos to send him to space to prove Earth’s not flat

‘If I haven’t seen it myself I can’t be 100% sure’, says Flintoff

Freddie Flintoff is hoping Jeff Bezos will fly him to space so he can stick it to the ‘flat Earthers’ once and for all.

The 43-year-old former cricketer is looking for proof – despite thinking the Earth is in fact a sphere.

He said: “I don’t know if I’d sooner go to space or people come from space to us – either way. The ‘flat Earth’ thing has been an interesting one.

“I spoke about it a few years ago on a podcast. I don’t think the Earth is flat but I’ve not been to space. I’ve not seen it’s round.

“My point is, I’m open to suggestions. I listen to people. If I haven’t seen it myself, I can’t be 100% sure.”

The ball is in your court, Bezos – or are you hiding that the Earth is actually flat?

This isn’t even the first time Flintoff has called on Bezos, having previously said: “I am actually desperate to go into space – oi, Bezos, get the first Prestonian into space!”

‘Flat Earthers’ believe that the Earth is actually flat, with their main point being that no one can see the curvature of the Earth. While scientists have debunked their theories numerous times, the growing minority are pretty vocal in the science field, despite not actually being scientists.

While Flintoff clearly enjoys the odd conspiracy theory, he doesn’t buy into anything related to covid.

He told the Sunday Times: “I’ve got nine GCSEs, none of them are anything to do with medical stuff. It’s not my business. Ask me about a car or ask me about cricket or something I know about. I’ll enter conversations I know things about. If I don’t, I will ask questions. I’m double jabbed and I will do as I’m told.”
