Hopefully Kendrick Lemar has his eye on a sharp suit, it looks like he’s going to need one for the Grammys in 2016.
The nominations have been unveiled, and Kendrick Lamar leads the way for the prestigious gongs with 11 nods including Album of the Year for ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’, Best Rap Album for the same record and Song of the Year with ‘Alright’.
Taylor Swift and The Weeknd both picked up seven nominations. Swift also picked up nominations in two of the other big categories, Song of the Year and Record of the Year, both for ‘Blank Space’.
Ed Sheeran has been given a nod for Record of the Year for ‘Thinking Out Loud’.
Also doing it for the Brits is James Bay who is up three – Best New Artist, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song. Mark Ronson has ‘Uptown Funk’ feat. Bruno Mars nominated for Best Song while Florence + The Machine have Ship to Wreck in Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Another exciting category for our shores is Best Dance/Electronic Album with The Chemical Brothers (Born in the Echoes), Disclosure (Caracal) and Jamie XX (In Colour) up against Skrillex and Diplo (Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü) and Caribou (Our Love).
