One brother named his twin in incriminating drill lyrics police found on his phone
Twin brothers were caught after a brutal gang revenge stabbing on a 16-year-old boy because one of them named his brother in incriminating drill lyrics describing the attack.
Bradley Allison, 19, dropped his twin Steven in it by naming him and Ti-Reece Taylor in rap lyrics police found on his phone referencing a broken weapon and mentioning the two other suspects by name.
The three teenagers were collectively ailed for more than 15 years on Friday for the savage daytime attack on a schoolboy who was stabbed six times in the stomach.
Luckily for the victim, three off-duty doctors happened to be passing the scene near Finsbury Park in north London and gave him emergency first aid on 6 April 2020.
Detectives tracked down his attackers and linked them to the broken knife found at the scene because one had drill lyrics naming the other two attackers and referencing the weapon.
Police also discovered it was a revenge attack by studying drill music videos online. During a raid on a house in Hackney, east London, officers also found the other half of the knife as well as clothes belonging to the defendants which they were wearing during the stabbing.
Steven Allison was jailed for five years and his brother Bradley for five years and seven months after both pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent.
Taylor, also 19 and from Hackney, was sentenced to four years and six months in prison after admitting the same charge at the Old Bailey on January 7.
Witnesses saw the men running with knives around the Woodberry Down area, near Finsbury Park, wearing dark coloured tracksuits. Another witness later described walking along the canal path and seeing the victim’s friends panicked and distressed after the teenager was stabbed.
The suspects fled the scene and the victim was found on the ground after he had been stabbed six times and had suffered serious abdominal injuries, police said.

Detective Constable Luke Martinez from the Met’s Central East Gangs Taskforce North, said after the sentencing the victim was lucky not to have been killed.
He added: “In a matter of minutes the victim was stabbed multiple times and left critically injured on the street. “This attack could have easily resulted in murder and the victim was extremely lucky to survive.
“The sentences received today should send out a clear message; if you choose to participate in the gang lifestyle and aggressively attack others, you should expect a lengthy prison. “These young men are now paying the price for the choices they have made.”
