The venues, cities and dates of every Euro 2016 group explained ahead of draw

The Euro 2016 draw is nearly upon us. The venues and dates of the matches are already known, the teams just have to be drawn.

Looking at the venues, France’s group is the most convenient from a travel point of view and will allow fans to base themselves in or around Paris.

However groups C, E and F feature matches on the Mediterranean coast, in Nice or Marseille, and will also be popular with sun-seeking supporters.

Here is a breakdown of the fixtures and dates for each group ahead of the draw at

venues 1

  1. 11th June, at 3pm, versus third seed at Stade Bollaert Delelis in Lens (35,000 capacity)
  2. 15th June, at 6pm, versus second seed at Parc des Princes in Paris (45,000 capacity, below)
  3. 19th June, at 9pm versus France at Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille (50,100 capacity)

  1. 11th June, at 6pm, versus third seed at Stade de Bordeaux (42,000 capacity)
  2. 15th June, at 3pm, versus second seed at Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille (50,100 capacity, below)
  3. 20th June, at 9pm, versus first seed at Stade Geoffroy Guichard in Saint-Etienne (41,500 capacity)
