Five kids as young as 12 arrested over violent stabbing of 13-year-old boy

Five boys aged between 12 and 15 have been arrested after a stabbing in Worthing, police have confirmed.

The attack took place on Chapel Road at around 4.45pm on Sunday (March 13), and left a 13-year-old in hospital.

Three of the boys – aged 12, 14 and 15, and all from Worthing – have been arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Meanwhile a 13-year-old from Littlehampton was arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding with intent and a 14-year-old – also from Littlehampton – was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in public.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “We have warned that youth violence will not be tolerated, after five children were arrested in connection with a stabbing in Worthing.
