Things continue to go from bad to worse for PSG
Achraf Hakimi is reportedly ready to leave Paris Saint-Germain less than 12 months after joining the club as he ‘cant take it anymore’ in France.
The 23-year-old defender signed for the Parisians on a five-year contract in a deal worth £60million from Inter Milan in July 2021.
However, Hakimi has endured a difficult time in the French capital and has struggled to replicate last season’s form – when he bagged seven goals and recorded 11 assists.
The Moroccan international – who has registered three goals and four assists in 32 appearances this season – has received criticism for his performances, much like the rest of his teammates.
PSG’s South American players ‘don’t talk to Hakimi anymore’
Now, French journalist Daniel Riolo has claimed that the PSG man is tired of life at the Parc des Princes and does not interact with any of the club’s South American stars, which includes Lionel Messi and Neymar.
Speaking to the After Foot show on French outlet RMC, Riolo said: “Hakimi is going crazy, the South Americans don’t talk to him anymore.
“He already wants to leave Paris, he is fed up. In this team his qualities have never exploded, so maybe you have to give him up.
“I criticised Hakimi for his fluctuating form, but it must be said that in this team he struggles to express his qualities.
“He is angry and that’s normal, he can’t take it anymore.”
PSG squad splits into two separate groups
It comes after reports that PSG’s dressing room has split into two separate ‘cliques’ following their recent run of poor results and Champions League exit, with one group including all of the South American players and the other including those that speak French.
Following the surprise defeat to Monaco at the weekend, the tension between the two groups reportedly ‘blew up a bit’. It is also said that no player attempted to begin an inquisition into the defeat and that there was complete since in the dressing room and during journey back to Paris.
Kylian Mbappé also poured fuel on the fire surrounding his future in Paris after revealing to Paul Pogba that he is “fed up” as the pair embraced on arrival at Clairefontaine.
The pair are currently preparing for France’s upcoming friendly matches against Ivory Coast and South Africa.
