This is the second time the airline has experienced IT problems in recent weeks
British Airways flights are being affected by a “technical issue”, the airline announced on Wednesday afternoon, in the latest in a series of damaging IT problems.
BA said in a statement:Â “We’re investigating and working hard to resolve a technical issue and apologise for the inconvenience.
“We will provide further updates as quickly as possible.”
The airline issued the statement after customers started questioning delays on social media.
Some passengers posted updates suggesting planes were delayed at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 base, with customers facing long delays at check-in, Sky News reported.
Mama Mia, here we go again…. Seriously I honestly can’t think of another big company with such unstable and un-user friendly IT. #britishairways https://t.co/vth4ZM1pqX

Stuck at the #Airport in #Copenhagen in a packed plane. Waiting to fly to #Heathrow. #BritishAirways #it issues not allowing to take off.

The airline experienced problems a month ago, which led to flights being delayed and cancelled. BA’s website and mobile app was impacted leaving customers unable to book flights or check-in online before departure.
This is a breaking news story. More to follow.Â
