With much of Yorkshire and parts of Manchester under water, Britain is experiencing some of the worst floods in decades.
Hundreds of homes and belongings are destroyed, it now takes a community to clear up a mess of this monstrous size.
The efforts of a group of Syrian refugees from Manchester hasn’t gone unnoticed. It has been reported they wanted to show their support to the community after the kindness they’d received since arriving in the UK.

After seeing the devastation on TV, they joined the effort of shovelling sand into sandbags in the car park of the Conservative club in Littleborough, Greater Manchester.
Yasser al-Jassem, 35, is a teacher who came to Britain in the back of a lorry from Calais in May.
He said: “The people of Greater Manchester have been very good to us and so we wanted to offer our help to them”, The Guardian reports.
