Manny Pacquiao is being sued for an astronomical sum of money after ‘hiding injury’

Money, get away...

Manny Pacquiao and his team have been slapped with a huge lawsuit claiming damages for anyone who paid to watch his bout against Floyd Mayweather.

The claim was filed on Tuesday in Las Vegas on behalf of two plaintiffs, identified as Staphane Vanel and Kami Rahbaran, who argue they were defrauded because the fighter failed to disclose his shoulder injury.

The suit adds to Pacquiao’s woes as Nevada boxing regulators are also seeking disciplinary action against him for allegedly hiding the injury he suffered during his training camp.

Pacquiao, who ended up losing via unanimous decision, is expected to undergo surgery this week for a rotator cuff tear, which will keep him out of the ring for over a year.

The Nevada Athletic Commission are trying to find out why Pacquiao checked “no” when filling out a form the day before the fight that asked whether he had an injury.

Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, claims that his fighter suffered the injury four weeks before the fight and it appeared to have healed by the day of the bout.

However, it is reported that Pacquiao’s team tried and failed to get a pain-killing injection in the dressing room just before the matchup.

Pacquiao claims he re-injured the shoulder in the fourth round, during the spell where he had most success against Mayweather.
