Talk about a criminal record.
As the gripping Netflix docu-series Making A Murderer continues to grow in popularity and notoriety, so two distinct phenomenons have strung from its success.
Firstly, there is a growing number of people who are furious at what they see as two grave miscarriages of justice, and are committed to clearing the names of both Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey.
Secondly, there are those who seek to piggy-back on the huge levels of publicity that anything to do with the show generates, and advance their own careers and agendas in the process.
Brendan Dassey’s half brother Brad Dassey has decided that the best thing that he can do is release a rap record to raise awareness for the plight of both his semi-sibling Brendan and his half uncle Steven.
Dassey, who refers to himself as a ‘indie Christian rapper’, has released ‘They Didn’t Do It’. The lyrics protest the innocence of both relatives in the murder of Teresa Halbach in 2005.
As Brad writes:
‘Here’s a track I wrote, spent 10 hours straight on about Brendan Dassey and Steven Avery. Brendan is my half brother in prison and is mentioned in the new Netflix Series, Making A Murderer. Please download and SHARE my new track to bring justice to my brother!’
We’ll let you make up your own minds about the track itself…
