Fans of the fantasy series Game of Thrones will be familiar with the show’s Dark Hedges location in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
The spooky scene was ravaged this week by Storm Gertrude, with the haunting, leaning trees uprooted by the forces of nature.
Northern Ireland, where much of the show is filmed, is a very popular destination for fans of the series. With this in mind, you’d expect the local council to try to replace the trees as soon as possible.

The trees – which were originally planted back in the 18th century – were made famous during Arya Stark’s season two escape from King’s Landing.
