Australia looking for Brits to work there as visa change makes it easier for millions

Thinking of a new life Down Under?

For many folks in the UK, relocating to the sun-drenched shores of Australia is nothing more than a pipe dream.

But thanks to a recent visa change on the part of the Australian government, that pipe dream may just become a reality for many.

The age limit for British nationals who wish to claim a working holiday visa has been raised to 35 years, meaning a huge 16 million more people are now eligible to apply.

This visa allows Brits to live and work in the country for as long as three years.

Before these most recent changes, there were limits to the industries that prospective travellers could work in. This included the famous 88 day farm work requirement.

And now Tourism Australia has launched a social media campaign to entice prospective Brits who are looking for their next adventure.

Youth travel specialists Gap 360 are offering three working holiday packages. If you’ve visited Australia previously, all you need to do is share your favourite Australian adventure on social media.

And if you have yet to experience the joys of Australia for yourself, all you need to do is re-share the official campaign content from Gap 360 with the hashtag #HumblestBrag – and follow @australia and @gap360official. Easy.
