From the amateur days of post-match pints all the way up to the Heineken Cup, rugby and beer have always had a cosy relationship.
While the Six Nations is great for showcasing Europe’s top talent, it’s also a good excuse to catch up with some mates for a drink or two.
Anyone looking to add a bit of competitiveness to their matchday drinking has Twitter user @WelshDalaiLama to thank for this year’s update to his popular Six Nations drinking game.
There are plenty of references to the northern hemipshere nations’ dismal World Cup results, including a drink for every time England kick to the corner and Ireland dealing with retirements, while old favourites like Lawrence Dallaglio and TMO referrals make a welcome return.
Here is the Six Nations Drinking Game 2016.
