Gary Neville blasted by Valencia legend who says he should quit and apologise…

Gary Neville is facing enormous pressure to hold on to his job after Valencia were thrashed 7-0 by Barcelona in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final on Wednesday.

The former Manchester United defender has overseen a dreadful run of form since his appointment in December, with Valencia failing to win any of his first eight La Liga matches in charge.

Following the embarrassing result at the Nou Camp, former goalkeeper and club legend Santiago Canizares told reporters: “I expected the coach’s resignation, as well as some apologies.

“I may be ignorant, but I’m surprised he hasn’t. I thought he was honest.”

It’s thought a decision will soon be made on Neville’s future, with rumours suggesting he could be set for a dramatic return to Sky Sports.
