A survey has revealed that 12 million Britons think a Christmas dinner is deserving of a Yorkshire pudding
Whether or not a Yorkie pud belongs alongside turkey and all the trimmings is a big debate in British culture, but it seems that a lot of people are team pro-pudding.
Clothing retailer Next carried out the poll asking about people’s eating habits at Christmas.
Although undoubtedly some people will believe that nothing could be more heathenous than adding a Yorkshire pudding to your Christmas dinner, it turns out a lot of people add far, far worse sides.
Two million people shared that they add onion rings to their festive meal, with a further three and a half million saying they enjoy eating seafood on Christmas.
Four percent of people even said they add ketchup to their plate, which is sure to raise a few eyebrows.
Other notable controversial favourites include mac and cheese, chips, and sweetcorn, which all made the top 10 most popular foods.
What has to be one of the most rogue additions is baked beans – 1.2 million people say they like to add the tinned treat to their dinner.
