Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has called for “a solution” to the ticket row which saw fans leave Anfield early during the draw against Sunderland.

Klopp, who missed the league game with appendicitis, was speaking ahead of the Reds’ FA Cup fourth round replay against West Ham United.

“We don’t want that people leave the stadium before the game is finished,” the former Borussia Dortmund boss .

“I know it’s my problem too but I have to collect more information.”

Liverpool were 2-0 up when fans left on 77 minutes in protest at the proposed introduction of £77 tickets in the new main stand at Anfield.

The action – led by fan group Spion Kop 1906 – has sparked the club’s owners into action.

Fenway Sports Group held talks at full-time, and on the following day, but further fan protests are anticipated if a suitable resolution is not reached.
