You don’t need to understand Spanish to know that Valencia fans are not happy with Gary Neville.
The former Manchester United defender is enduring a torrid time with the La Liga side and is still awaiting his first league win with the former Spanish champions.
The England assistant coach is growing increasingly isolated as his team struggle to take instruction, defend or generally look anything like a team that Neville could be any way proud of.
His side were thumped 7-0 by Barcelona last week. In this week’s return leg at a half-empty Mestalla, Neville was heckled by several locals who may have gotten their geography wrong but their insults landed all the same.
Neville was told to ‘run along’ and ‘go back to London’ by various supporters inside the stadium according to Spanish TV who were present at the Cope del Rey clash.
