Finally, it seems things are looking up for Gary Neville.
The difficult start to his managerial career has been well documented, and having waited so long for his first La Liga victory it was no surprise that the stress was beginning to show.
After his Valencia side followed up their victory over Espanyol with a 6-0 hammering of Rapid Vienna in the Europa League, they secured a third consecutive win – this time away at Granada.
As the game entered its closing stages, Granada manager José Ramón Sandoval appeared very frustrated, and quickly became involved in a heated discussion with Neville.
According to the Mirror, Sandoval called Neville “a son of whore” after mistakenly believing that he was appealing for a free-kick.
Although he initially responded in Spanish, Neville reverted to a more familiar phrase.
“F**k off,” he appears to say.
