It’s about time a footballer used this as a goal celebration.
The Simpsons’ episode “Last Exit to Springfield” is almost 23-years-old, yet no footballer has ever thought of celebrating like Homer when he scored a victory over Mr. Burns for the power plant union.
Until now…West Ham winger Michail Antonio opened the scoring against Sunderland in the early Premier League kick-off and decided enough was enough, someone had to pay tribute to Homer’s celebration.
Or at least that’s how Twitter saw it.
