Man who says he’s Charles and Camilla’s love child wrote letter to Queen demanding DNA test

‘There has been a discussion between a judge and myself’

A man who claims to be King Charles and Camilla’s love child reportedly wrote to Queen Elizabeth II to demand a paternity test.

Simon Charles Dorante-Day has claimed for years that he is the illegitimate son of Charles and Camilla, and has had several requests for a DNA test rejected.

He was adopted when he was about eight months old in August 1966 in Portsmouth, in the UK, when Camilla would have been 18, and Charles 17.

According to official records, the Charles and Camilla didn’t meet until five years later, which casts major doubt over the 58-year-old’s claims.

Dorante-Day’s Facebook page contains endless photographs of his face alongside the King’s in an attempt to draw a clear likeness, and last year, the Australian broadcaster 7News aired a short documentary on both Dorante-Day and his wife Elvianna.

He told the outlet that he written a letter to the late Queen Elizabeth II, urging her to tell Charles to take a DNA test.

Dorante-Day said he received no response from the royals, and is considering taking legal action against the family.

He said: “There has been a discussion in there between a judge and myself and his barrister about the legal standing of Charles, and whether the monarch is protected by the law or is above the law.

“And the answer to that was no – they told me that we don’t see any reason why he is. And secondly, Camilla and her family are certainly not above the law. So that argument’s already been had and settled.”

He added that he would not be revealing any details about his legal challenge though, explaining: “I’d be a very silly person that when he comes into the same jurisdiction as me not to do something.

“You know, there’s always something going on in the background here at our place. It never stops. People think just because it goes quiet on Facebook, [the case] is quiet, but it doesn’t. We’re hammering in the background.”

Dorante-Day has not been deterred by the Queen’s passing, saying it “makes no difference to me whether that mountain in front of me is male or female.”

He did release a statement when the late monarch died in September 2022, in which he said he had been “inundated with messages of condolence.”
