Michael Jackson’s ex says he was a ‘virgin until he was 35’

Maybe not such a smooth criminal

You would think, being the king of pop and all that, that Michael Jackson probably wouldn’t have struggled too much when it came to charming the ladies.

With hits like ‘Smooth Criminal’, ‘Love Never Felt So Good’ and ‘Bad’ the sex icon was in fact, ironically, not that promiscuous.

This comes according to late ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley who revealed all before her own death.

Lisa Marie Presley was the daughter of icon Elvis Presley and married Michael Jackson in 1994 just months after starting dating.

However, the marriage didn’t last long with the couple parting ways in 1996.

Presley died last year from a cardiac arrest, however, a posthumous memoir, titled From Here To The Great Unknown, has since been released revealing some of the details from their relationship.

The book was not finished by Presley before her sudden death, needing to be added to by her daughter, Riley Keough, who used recordings her mum made to finish it off.

In the section of the memoir where she spoke about her relationship with MJ, Presley explained how the singer won her over while she was still married to Danny Keough who she shared two children with, Riley and Benjamin.

She wrote: “Michael said, ‘I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m completely in love with you. I want us to get married and for you to have my children’.

“I didn’t say anything immediately, but then I said, ‘I’m really flattered, I can’t even talk’. By then, I felt I was in love with him too.”

Following this confession, Presley and Keough split on good terms before she got together with Jackson.

She went on to write that when they finally got together Jackson admitted to her that he “was still a virgin”.

Presley wrote: “I think he had kissed Tatum O’Neal, and he’d had a thing with Brooke Shields, which hadn’t been physical apart from a kiss.

“He said Madonna had tried to hook up with him once, too, but nothing happened. I was terrified because I didn’t want to make the wrong move.”

Talking about her mother’s memoir that was released yesterday, Riley Keough spoke about Presley’s life.

The 35-year-old told PEOPLE: “Because my mother was Elvis Presley’s daughter, she was constantly talked about, argued over and dissected.

“What she wanted to do in her memoir, and what I hope I’ve done in finishing it for her, is to go beneath the magazine headline idea of her and reveal the core of who she was.

“To turn her into a three-dimensional human being: the best mother, a wild child, a fierce friend, an underrated artist, frank, funny, traumatised, joyous, grieving, everything that she was throughout her remarkable life.

“I want to give voice to my mother in a way that eluded her while she was alive.”
