‘I believe in ghosts again now’
A photo has gone viral on social media after people spotted a hidden face in what, on the surface, seemed like an ordinary snap of a group of friends.
The photo posted on Reddit in a r/whenyouseeit sort of thread has people ‘creeped out’ at the unsettling group photo.
The original poster said: “A friend of mine sent me this picture from his group of friends in Chile.”
In the photo, there’s six people sharing a selfie together while on a hike.
In the background, several people can be seen walking up the trail behind them in what appears to be a forest landscape.
However, despite first appearances, there are actually seven people in the selfie but you have to look really close to spot them.
If you’re struggling to spot the mysterious face, look really close in the bottom left of the picture.
There is another person peeping in between the two women on the left.
As they noticed the extra person in the snap, social media users commented their reaction.

One user admitted they had been looking in the wrong place before being frightened by the face: “My dumba** was looking at the red thing in the bottom left corner. I was like uhhh looks like someone was just cut out the pic… then BOOM, I saw it. Runs to hide under the covers.”
Another said: “I am not exaggerating when I say that when I finally saw it, I got goosebumps and felt genuine fear. Wtf. I believe in ghosts again now.”
A third said: “It gave me chills, for sure. Usually, I just laugh these things off, or assume the photo is doctored in a way I can’t really detect, but not this time.”
However, another user dispelled talks of ghosts as they reasoned: “It’s just a person that’s also in the group with their face being hidden in shadow by the two around it, and made to look creepy with that intense blue filter. You can even see the top of the person’s head and hair illuminated normally by the daylight.”
But the conspiracy theories continued as one user said they can’t unsee it, adding: “It’s very clearly something/someone that doesn’t belong there.”
