One of the most renowned Muay Thai fighters in the world has put up a spirited defence of Conor McGregor in a Facebook post that has shared thousands of times.
McGregor had to face his fair share of criticism following his shock defeat to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 at the weekend, a fight which he jumped up two weight classes to take on in the first place.
Saenchai, or to give him his full name, Saenchai PKSaenchaimuaythaigym, is renowned as one of the best Muay Thai fighters in the world and today, he paid tribute to McGregor and used the example of his own career to highlight how The Notorious can come back stronger after the weekend’s defeat.
At the time of writing, four hours after it was posted on Facebook, Saenchai’s post has attracted over 12,000 likes and has been shared just under 4,000 times.
