You have to admire Frankie Edgar’s persistence in pursuing the fight of his career.
The 34-year-old featherweight, who has never been knocked out in his MMA career, is fed up at being passed over by The Notorious and wants a slice of the action at UFC 200.
Edgar’s pursuit of the Dubliner on social media has been nothing short of relentless, so much so that Dana White has now hinted that he could be pairing the two of them off with each other next.
But Edgar won’t take a few shallow words as guaranteed.
He’s ramped up his campaign yet again to face off with McGregor and he’s even reposting mashed-up photos of one punter’s fantasy UFC 200 card which, in fairness, looks like a cracker.
Hey @FrankieEdgar give me a repost and lets get people hyped! @danawhite give Frankie the fight #UFC200 #UFC pic.twitter.com/HfRfB9Kfdv

Edgar is calling for Conor McGregor to “step up” and for Lorenzo Fertitta to listen to him. He’s literally begging Dana White to make the fight happen – and at least we can’t see him pulling out like Jose Aldo and Rafael Dos Anjos.
Hey @lorenzofertitta @danawhite give the fans what they want and what I deserve This is my time @TheNotoriousMMA step up.. take the fight!

McGregor would drop back to featherweight to try and shut up Edgar but it certainly would be a fascinating match-off.
The man who has never been knocked out.
Against the man who loves to do the knocking out.
