"I'd love to get that one back"

This would make a lot of money.

That’s the first thing that jumps to mind when you think of a rematch between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor.

Diaz became the first man to beat Conor McGregor in the UFC, and a rich man in the process, with a second round rear naked choke in the main event of UFC 196 last week.

The social media and viewing figures suggest that UFC 196 was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, pay-per-view events ever.

‘The Notorious’ and his team have suggested that the next port of call is a return to 145 lbs where he will defend his featherweight title, likely at July’s UFC 200, but McGregor has not ruled out another shot at Diaz.

A slightly exasperated McGregor was speaking to TMZ Sports when he explained that a rematch with the Stockton fighter is a bout that intrigues him.

“I think I’d like to see that, yeah,” McGregor said.

“It’s one that interests me most certainly.

“When I look at the fight, I was winning the fight. I won the first round and a half, I feel.

“I’d love to get that one back.”
