Nate Diaz has had enough of people making excuses for Conor McGregor after UFC 196 defeat

"You lost!"

You’d have thought that Nate Diaz would still be giddy with celebration.

But he sounds very pissed off for a fighter who just won over $1 million for less than ten minutes’ work.

Diaz, who submitted Conor McGregor via rear naked choke at UFC 196, is still furious with the fact everyone still has ‘The Notorious’ on a pedestal in spite of his defeat.

Diaz spoke to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto about his standing with the UFC and how people still aren’t giving him enough credit for upsetting McGregor.

“I feel like, honest, I feel like the UFC wants to weed me the f**k out of this position,” Diaz said. “I don’t know if I’m supposed to say that. Sorry. I feel like a lot of people are coming at me now. I see them making a lot of excuses for him, and I think it’s kind of ridiculous.

“I don’t think it’s just the UFC. It’s everybody. People are saying, ‘Oh, [McGregor] is great, he’s accepted the loss so well.’ If I would have lost, people would be saying, ‘piece of sh*t shouldn’t have accepted the fight.’ I don’t mean to be bitter, but there are a lot of excuses being made for this guy. He’s talking about winning the first round. There are five rounds in a fight. Who gives a sh*t if you won a round? You lost.”
