The best part of four decades have passed since the Rolling Stones’ legendary Knebworth gig, and now it could be time for part two.
With a gap in their summer schedule, the iconic rockers are eyeing up a return to the open-air venue where they played to tens of thousands in 1976.
According to the Sunday Mirror, the major sticking point is ensuring the gig doesn’t clash with any summer festivals.
The Rolling Stones are set to play 13 shows across the United States and Canada this summer, finishing up with a headline slot at the Festival d’Ete in Quebec.
If the Knebworth gig does go ahead, fans will hope for another epic two-hour set to emulate the band’s memorable performance back in the 70s.
