Conor McGregor is still a UFC champion, and don’t you forget it.
That appeared to be the hidden message of this St Patrick’s Day post from The Notorious as he recovers from his bruising defeat to Nate Diaz at UFC 196.
The Irishman shared a snap from UFC 189 where he was handed the interim belt for defeating Chad Mendes. And we all know what came next at UFC 194 – a brutal 13-second KO of long-reigning champion Jose Aldo.
A passionate McGregor appears with a tricolour draped over his shoulders – but more importantly, with the UFC featherweight title around his waist.
It won’t be long until the blockbuster UFC 200 card is announced, and McGregor will no doubt be giving it his all to do his fans proud once again…
Happy Paddy's day everyone!! Wear them colours with pride!!! #IrishBlood pic.twitter.com/o16QbN0m7n
