Russia is already celebrating the disastrous meeting between the US and Ukranian leaders.
Russian leaders have issued a terrifying statement in response to President Trump and Vice-President Vance’s chaotic meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday.
The sit-down at the White House devolved into a shouting match where Trump accused Zelenskyy of “gambling with World War Three”.
After a war of words earlier this month, many were hoping the summit could lead to a warming of relations between Ukraine and the US – very few could have predicted it would descend into the altercation that ensued.

At one point of the fiery exchange, JD Vance accused Zelenskyy of being “disrespectful” before adding: “You should be thanking the president”.
Zelenskyy fired back, claiming that the US is protected from Russia: “You have a nice ocean, and don’t feel now but you will feel it in the future”, to which Trump interrupted: “Don’t tell us what we’re going to feel. You’re in no position to dictate that”.
Things continued to get more heated as Vance asked Zelenskyy: “Have you said thank you once?”.
Trump then threatened: “You’re either going to make a deal or we’re out”.
The affair ended with Zelenskyy being kicked out of the White House, with Trump later posting on social media that Zelensky should return to Washington when he is “ready for peace”.
Now, Dmitry Medvedev, a former figurehead prime minister and president under Vladimir Putin and now the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, posted on X that “the insolent pig finally got a proper slap down in the Oval Office. And @realDonaldTrump is right: The Kiev regime is ‘gambling with WWIII.’”

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova had worse words to describe Zelenskyy, and was full of praise for Trump and Vance.
“I think Zelenskyy’s BIGGEST lie, among all his lies, was his statement at the White House that the Kyiv regime was left alone, without support, in 2022,” Zakharova said. “How Trump and Vance managed to restrain themselves and not smack this bastard—it’s a miracle of self-control.”
It seems that Vance and Trump did Russia a great service in their disaster of a meeting with Zelenskyy, which was supposed to involve a deal for Ukraine’s mineral rights.
In an interview on Fox News hours later, Zelenskyy said that the spat is “not good for both sides”, but added that he thinks the relationship can be salvaged.
