Two explosions have been heard in Brussels airport earlier this morning.

Photography and footage has emerged of smoke rising from Brussel’s Zaventem airport with a number of people being evacuated. According Sky News, one is said to have occurred near the American Airlines departures desk.

The cause of the blasts remain currently unclear. The incident comes the capture of Salah Abdeslam, the alleged perpetrator of the Paris attacks, in Brussels last week.

The airport has been currently evacuated, with all flights being suspended in and out of Brussels.
