We like to say we believe, but some of us actually put our money where our mouth is.
After England went 2-0 to the world champions on Saturday night, you’d be forgiven for expecting the worst.
But after Harry Kane pulled one back for the Three Lions, there was reason to hope.
One man who believed more than most was JOE reader Nick Styles who shared with us an in-play bet he placed during the game, backing Roy Hodgson’s men to pull off an unlikely comeback.
In fact, Nick was so confident that he backed Kane and co not just once, but twice at 40/1.
Nick – who runs the @MatchdayProfits Twitter account with his mate Paul – placed the bet just minutes after Kane’s goal went in.
We can only imagine the excitement when Eric Dier’s header hit the back of the net in injury time.
Thanks to Nick Styles for sending this in. If you’ve got something you think we’d be interested in, email us at hello@JOE.co.uk, find us on Twitter or just drop us a message on Facebook.
