This is vile.
Jamie Vardy has many admirers; it’s also true that he’s not exactly everyone’s cup of tea. That’s all well and good and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Most footballers get their fair share of adulation and abuse, and Vardy is more divisive than most.
But when players’ loved ones get caught up in the crossfire, it crosses a line. Far worse still is a case of a young child being spoken about in the most vile terms imaginable. Sadly that’s what transpired over the weekend involving the Leicester forward’s family.
On Sunday evening, Vardy’s fiancee Rebekah Nicholson tweeted a photo of the player’s 5-year-old daughter in a Foxes shirt…

Sadly that was enough for trolls to reply with horrible and explicit abuse, much of it referring to the young child. Vardy shared some of the worst responses, and to say they are beyond the pale is something of an understatement. It is truly horrendous stuff.
Please be warned that the tweets that Vardy shared are of the most graphic nature and so proceed with caution.
