Real Madrid need to call a plumber, because there’s been yet another leak out of the club.
Documents from transfer moves for James Rodriguez, Angel di Maria and Gareth Bale have previously been leaked, and now Zinedine Zidane’s tactical plans from El Clasico appeared to have made their way into the public domain.
These handwritten notes, uncovered by Spanish media, appear to be made by the Madrid coach, and offer some insight into how they managed to win 2-1 and end Barcelona’s 39 game unbeaten streak.
The danger of Luis Suarez’s diagonal runs is noted, as is Barca’s propensity to press high, and the importance of shutting down Andreas Iniesta and Ivan Rakitic in midfield.
Madrid’s gameplan appeared tailored towards forcing their opponents wide and evidently worked as Zidane won his debut El Clasico as a manager.
They’re certainly more detailed than Paul Ince’s notes anyway.
