Conor McGregor announced himself on the UFC stage with a bang.
It’s been three years now since ‘The Notorious’ made his debut in MMA’s top promotion, and there were signs from the start that he was a force to be reckoned with.
On April 6, 2013, the UFC changed forever as McGregor entered the octagon for the first time with a 67-second TKO of The Ultimate Fighter’s season 14 champion, Marcus Brimage.

While you might not necessarily remember the fight, it was in the immediate aftermath that the Irishman truly introduced himself to the public.
In an interview directly after the fight, McGregor address head of the UFC Dana White with the now infamous cry of “60 Gs baby”.
Sitting next to British fighter Brad Pickett the post-fight press conference, McGregor was decidedly more humble than he is nowadays, explaining to the press how the win would change his life.
Earlier in the week, The Notorious had been collecting social welfare payments in Dublin. Three years later, and he’s the highest earner in the sport.
He also gave an interesting insight into his mindset when asked who he would like to fight next, saying he just wanted to keep busy.
With eight fights in three years, it’s fair to say he’s been doing just that.
