Lethal at both flyweight and bantamweight.
John Dodson returned to the weight class in which he won The Ultimate Fighter 14 on Saturday night and left the octagon with the assurances that he’ll definitely have both Dominick Cruz and TJ Dillashaw keeping a keen eye on him.
Dodson’s last fight at 135 lbs before UFC Tampa came in 2011 when he knocked out would-be champion Dillashaw in the first round to claim TUF glory.
‘The Magician’ then dropped to flyweight where he went 5-2, with both of those defeats coming against 125 lb champion and arguably the greatest pound-for-pound fighter on the planet, Demetrious Johnson.
After coming unstuck in his most recent title fight, Dodson decided to try his hand at bantamweight once more and he looks right at home in the weight division as he needed just 47 seconds to put Manny Gamburyan to the sword.
JUST LIKE THAT! In the early prelims @JohnDodsonMMA made a statement. 👊 #UFCTampa https://t.co/UEaKVYJog7

Dodson took the centre of the octagon early and backed his Armenian opponent up to the fence before he uncorked with a left hand.
The Jackson-Wink product then followed Gamburyan to his knees and let fly with more than a dozen uppercuts in a matter of seconds which forced referee James Warring to step in.
Bantamweights beware.
