The odds are already out on Leicester City winning next season’s Champions League

Worth a flutter?

Can the Leicester City fairytale continue?

The Foxes moved one step closer to Premier League glory with a win over Swansea as Spurs drew at West Brom, but Champions League football has already been secured.

With Arsenal and Manchester City both more than 10 points adrift, Claudio Ranieri’s team will almost certainly go straight into the group stages of Europe’s elite club competition next season.

And those who have already cashed out on their 5,000-1 bets for Leicester to win this season’s Premier League might be tempted to stick some of that money on European glory in 2017.

Leicester City v Southampton - Premier League

Leicester are 100/1 with Coral to win next season’s Champions League – the same odds as Bayer Leverkusen and AS Roma.

But if you’re looking for omens, another team priced at the same odds is FC Porto – one of the last unlikely winners when they took home the trophy in 2004.

A long-shot for the competition, with unheralded but hard-working players and a manager with Chelsea connections. Sound familiar?

You’d be daft not to put a quid on.
