The third instalment in the Bad Boys franchise has been a long time coming, but it could soon become a reality.
Director Joe Carnahan, whose repertoire includes Narc and the film adaptation of The A-Team, has reportedly been lined up by Sony Pictures some 12 years after the release of Bad Boys II.
The first two movies in the action comedy series starred Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, and Deadline report that Sony want to be ready for when Smith finishes filming Suicide Squad.
Some eight years passed between the first two films, both of which were directed by Michael Bay, so the large gap seems unlikely to pose much of a problem.
If you need a bit of a refresher, Bad Boys II looked a little something like this.
