Legendary TV actress Doris Roberts has died at the age of 90.
Roberts was famous for playing Ray’s mother Marie Barone in the hit TV show Everybody Loves Raymond.
Her long-time co-star Ray Romano has spoken after the sad news was announced, praising Roberts’ work both on screen and off:
“Whether working professionally or with her many charities, or just nurturing and mentoring a green young comic trying to make it as an actor, she did everything with such a grand love for life and people and I will miss her dearly.”
Tributes have been coming in from far and wide in the entertainment industry.

Did a photo shoot for Hallmark with Doris Roberts and they asked us for a "sweet pose"- so Doris pretended to strangle me. Loved her a lot 💓

Worked with Doris Roberts when I was six. So kind, talented, and giving: I went on to work with Children Affected By AIDS because of her.

#RIP to one of my ultimate favorites, Doris Roberts. We spoke at length about ageism in Hollywod & I'm proud to say I think she overcame it.
