TMZ are reporting the desperately sad news that Prince has passed away. The 57-year-old musical genius was reportedly suffering from flu symptoms and had cancelled tour days due to bad health.
According to the news agency, the artist was rushed to hospital on Thursday when his plane made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois, where he was taken to the hospital and treated.
UPDATE: The news has been confirmed by Associated Press, and tributes have already come flooding in for the legendary musician.
