So Beyoncé did a Beyoncé by dropping a new album in the middle of the night.
Lemonade features 12 new tracks, and according to a statement by Tidal, it is a “conceptual project based on every woman’s journey of self-knowledge and healing.”
The album includes guest appearances by Kendrick Lamar, Jack White, James Blake and the Weeknd and samples music from Led Zeppelin, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Father John Misty and Animal Collective.
Bey teased the album with thriller-like clips prior to its release. Serena Williams and Jay-Z make guest appearances in the film, but didn’t make it onto the album.
The album has been released exclusively on Tidal – listen HERE.
