Gary Lineker is probably feeling a bit tense…
Considering he made a promise to host the first Match Of The Day next season wearing nothing but his underwear if Leicester won the league, he’s probably waking up every day with a slight twinge of fear.
But we can’t blame him for taking issue with this headline in the ‘Daily Mail’, which he described as “outrageously misleading”.
Lineker described the implication of the headline, which read ‘Lineker Cries Foul Over Cost Of Divorce’ – referring to his recent split from Danielle Bux – as “wrong and upsetting” in a succession of tweets.
Here’s what the pundit had to say:
Outrageously misleading headline @DailyMailUK . Was talking divorce legal costs in general not my personal situation pic.twitter.com/13NsHXIZZ7

To make it clear @DailyMailUK I was talking about the fact you can divorce online for about £400 and save a fortune, as did we. Nothing more

Shouldn't get annoyed at @DailyMailUK for hugely misleading front page headline. It's what they do, but the inference is wrong & upsetting.

Fight your corner, Gary.
