This footage of Claudio Ranieri watching Leicester fans’ tributes to him is genuinely moving

We've just got something in our eye...

When Claudio Ranieri was appointed Leicester City manager, some fans feared the worst.

The Italian had been sacked by Greece after a dismal Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, and many were concerned the club would be in relegation trouble after barely surviving under Nigel Pearson the previous season.

Of course we all know what happened next, and fans had warmed to the former Chelsea boss long before his team made the unthinkable charge towards Premier League glory.

Few managers enjoy such widespread support from fans of their club, but Ranieri’s combination of charisma and on-pitch success means it’s virtually impossible to hate the guy.

And, as this video from TRT World shows, the 64-year-old remains humbled by the support he has received not just from regular match-goers, but from the city of Leicester as a whole.

We’re not crying. We’ve just got something in our eye.
